Tonight, as I left my mother’s bedside at the hospital, she asked me a question: “What was the date on Saturday?”
I told her. September 23. She responded, “Well, isn’t that a coincidence? That’s the date your dad proposed to me!”
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t put much value in signs from above, but something about Saturday night made me wonder if Dad wasn’t pulling some strings. I will say, however, that if our marriage is as successful as my mother and father’s marriage, we are in for a beautiful life together.
