Hey gang, here are the Download the week four files for your review. Practice for the quiz next week!
You will take on the role of a web page editor in charge of assembling links to a topic of interest. In this role, you will create two pages that document your topic (anything from aardvarks to zoology).
Your first page will introduce your topic in a paragraph or two. You will provide a link to a second page (which you will create) that will contain lists of topics linked to other web resources.
1. Create a new folder with your last name as the folder name.
2. Create two HTML pages in your folder. Your first web page will provide definitions. The second is your list page.
3. Link them together (i.e. provide a link from Page 1 to Page 2, and from Page 2 to Page 1).
4. On Page 1:
a. Create a definition list of three terms applicable to your topic.
b. You may add external links or email links as necessary on either page.
5. On Page 2:
a. Create a paragraph introducing your topic
b. Create an unordered list using square bullets
c. Create a second unordered list using another list-style-type
d. Create one ordered list using uppercase letters

Here is the ZIP file of the Week 3 examples. Also, check these two items for the instructions on configuring TextEdit for New Documents and Opening Documents.
Your assignment: Write me a three paragraph autobiography. That means three HTML paragraphs.
Give examples of hr, br, two divs, two spans, three different headings (h1 thru h6), strong and em, color and background-color. Also make sure you use the proper HTML document structure (html, head, title, body) and make your title meaningful.
Use HTML color codes as referenced on w3schools or this little interactive thingy from ColorSchemer .
And of course, try to use this to give me a sense of your own style!
If you use a PC, use notepad or go out and download textpad. Textpad beats notepad. Save as .html always. Bring this HTML file to class with you next week.
